Features

  • Real-time status notifications: Once a subscription is active, subscribers receive real-time notifications whenever the status of the subscribed user changes, regardless of the platform they are on.

  • Initial status retrieval: When you first subscribe to a user, you’ll immediately receive a callback with their online status if they are online. If they are offline, you will receive their status if they have been offline for 7 days or less. No status is returned if they have been offline for more than 7 days.

Subscription limits

  • A user can subscribe to a maximum of 1,000 other users.

  • A user’s status can be subscribed to by a maximum of 5,000 other users.

Supported versions

This feature is supported in the following SDK versions:

  • Android IMLib SDK 5.8.1 and later

  • iOS IMLib SDK 5.8.1 and later

  • Web IMLib SDK 5.9.8 and later

How to enable

Go to the Chat pricing plans page in the Console. Under the General services tab, you can enable Client-side user status subscription.
